January Sunset
The sun had already set behind me but with such voluminous clouds hanging over the Moray Firth I knew I should stay put. I set up the tripod beyond the strand line (wet feet time again) and made this long exposure as the water rushed back off the beach in the lull of incessant waves.
I consider these places inbetween places. In between literal and suggestive. The transitory nature of the waves and tide means reality here is fleeting. The photograph reveals the unseen rhythms and nuances of nature, elevating the image from descriptive to evocative.

Dawn on The Old Man of Storr, Skye
After a hard and sometimes nerve racking climb in the dark with my comrade, we dug in beside some large rocks and waited for dawn, freezing but stunning.

Studying the Sky
Mum looks around for potential shots as she waits for me at the top of the hill while we went for a walk this evening. Wester Forret, Fife.
