Waverley Digital Roll End
Back in the days of film the first shot out of the can usually had some interesting light flare.
The paddle steamer Waverley heads towards the solar flare of the setting sun over Dunoon, so here is an attempt here to re-create roll end flare digitally in camera.

Beach Huts - Hopeman
"Would be a sin to leave Hopeman without grabbing a shot of the colourful beach huts.
They are owned by the community council and cannot be sold for profit, this means they are like gold dust and very rarely become available - apparently a 10-15 year waiting list for one." – Michael Carver
What A Place To Wildcamp
"Had a wild camp on the Bealach between Ruadh Stac Mor and A Mhaighdean in September 2012. As well as a very atmospheric evening we were treated to a fab sunrise and clear morning on A Mhaighdean." – Mickey

Knocking on Heaven's Door
"Last nights sunset from one of the many tracks around a hill called 'Knock of Crieff' behind the Crieff Hydro Hotel. Looking down Strathearn towards the Glenartney Forest. The sun has dipped behind the mountains putting everything in shade but giving the sky a nice warm glow. Patches of mist can be seen in the middle distance. Feels like spring is on the way." – SwaloPhoto

Liquid Light, Duntulm Bay, Isle of Skye, Scotland
"Five minutes before I captured this image http://www.flickr.com/photos/dvattika/8582737572/, there was beautifully warm sunset light touching the tops of the distant rocks. If you pay attention, you will notice that even the tops of the rocks below the water surface have caught the highlights of the last rays of the sun.
This is nature at its best, when irresistible forces attract landscape photographers in all corners of this planet. This is when enjoyment becomes the elixir of life, the product that keeps us going. Aren't we landscape photographers strange creatures?" – Dimitri Vasileiou

Two sides of the Clyde
"Like ghostly shadows the cranes of Govan Shipyard reflect in the modern all glass facade of the new Riverside Museum." – David Cation

Sunset over Ardgour Mountains

Old Man of Storr, Isle of Skye, Scotland
"Waiting to capture a beautiful sunrise from the banks of Loch Fada on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Suddenly, storm clouds arrived and shelter had to be offered by the nearby tree. A snow storm seemed to spoil the morning but soon the storm passed, leaving some cloud hovering around the Old man of Storr. A splash of early morning light turned the hill to a bright pink/orange glow that lasted less that one minute. I was lucky to catch the second part of that glow with the orange hues." – Dimitri Vasileiou

Taransay
"This was a pretty epic sunset, we were camping just above this beach (Horgabost) on Harris. It had been windy all day, but at sunset it just dropped and the Sound of Taransay was like a millpond. I think I stayed out watching the light fade til about 2am!" – Christopher Swan

Back at the Storr
Isle of Skye, Scotland.
"Another shot from a wonderful sunrise at The Old Man of Storr. This one is taken from a mound on the eastern side of the footpath to the summit of The Storr. Here, the Old Man stands proud with a glorious view of The Cuillin behind. On this particular day, the early morning light was especially dramatic." – Marcus Reeves
Dawn in Assynt, Scotland
"Beautiful but cold morning in the North-West Highlands. This picture was taken from the top of Canisp with the sun just about to rise in the East. Behind me, in the West, Suilven was hidden beneath heavy clouds and fog." – Svensi
