Mauchline
Being the 250th anniversary of Burns' birth I thought i'd head down to his part of the country. These are the same rolling hills he would have seen from Mossgiel Farm, this shot taken just where the road splits at the monument.
Okay, not quite the Alps, or a herd of wildebeest running accross the serengeti, but in nice light not a bad view by any manner of means.

Loch Lomond tree revisited
I had never been happy that the times I had visited this tree because the loch was pretty low, so revisited it this morning as, after the recent rain, I knew the levels would be up... and the light was lovely... reflected off the Arrocher Alps in the distance.

Loch Lomond
The second from this mornings trip to Loch Lomond - again, this shot has been done to death by many better photographers than me, but it was the first time I'd ever got round to doing it.
I think the overcast conditions helped here, the weather cleared for a bit and the shots I got then look pretty ordinary. Out of the two I've posted, I prefer this one.

Dusk
Ok, this was a gorgeous sunset. I took one when there were cars and another when the road went quiet.

Loch Ness from Dores
Loch Ness from the Dores Inn. The light was changing so quickly that evening and it was one of the most amazing nights I've ever been out there.
This one looks a little oriental I think.

Kame o' Hoy, Orkney
It was a very clear night. The Kame o' Hoy is on the left and the hills on Mainland Scotland are on the right.

Frozen Foam
Sea foam, frozen solid.
We went out early one seriously cold morning to catch the dawn. On the beach, we found the sea foam had frozen solid, like a wave suspended in motion.
Anybody know how to copyright a tree?
I love this tree, and it is on the route that I take for food shopping. I make no apologies for adding numerous shots of it as it is different every time I pass and the colours are always stunning.
