In the middle of a long drive home from the Outer Hebrides we passed Eilean Donan Castle early evening. The sun was too bright for a nice shot but got us wondering whether it might be worth hanging around for a few hours till nearer sunset.
Will a poke o chips in hand we patiently waited a few hours and endured 10,000,000,000 midges until the sun slid down behind the mountains.
I think it was well worth the wait to see the castle in all it's sunset glory but not sure my wife and son would agree as we never got home till 2:30am.
