The sun had already set behind me but with such voluminous clouds hanging over the Moray Firth I knew I should stay put. I set up the tripod beyond the strand line (wet feet time again) and made this long exposure as the water rushed back off the beach in the lull of incessant waves.
I consider these places inbetween places. In between literal and suggestive. The transitory nature of the waves and tide means reality here is fleeting. The photograph reveals the unseen rhythms and nuances of nature, elevating the image from descriptive to evocative.
